Easy Péage is an electronic toll payment service provided by Rent A Car.

This service allows you to use the Liber-t motorway network in France without having to stop to pay in cash or by credit card, without using a personal electronic toll badge or without paying the toll authority directly.

The terms and conditions of the Easy Péage service are available at the agencies, in the rental agreement or at www.EasyPeage.fr.

  • Speed and convenience
  • No need to have exact change
  • No more waiting in the lanes reserved for cash or credit card payment
  • Valid throughout the entire motorway network (excluding parking, Mont-Blanc tunnel and Fréjus tunnel), without using a personal electronic toll badge or paying the toll authority directly
  • You can sign up for it at an agency at the start of the rental if you opt for the per “rental day” rate. You just pay the service charge at the counter.
  • There is no pre-registration or registration required if you activate the service during your rental. The per “day of use” rate will thus be applied to you.
  • Make sure your rental vehicle is equipped with the Easy Péage device in the windscreen.
  • The service is automatically activated from the moment you open the device box and go through a motorway toll.
  • Open the Easy Péage box and use the Liber-t lanes.
    VERY IMPORTANT: We recommend that you open the box as soon as you pick up your rental vehicle. In any case, do it before traveling on the motorway and not just as you arrive at the toll lane!
  • Improper use may result in additional charges.

If the barrier does not open at the entrance to the motorway:

  1. Take a ticket at the terminal and the barrier will open
  2. At the exit, choose a lane with a green arrow and use another payment method
  3. Keep the ticket and contact us for free at +33 800 906 123 or by email at Service-Client@EasyPeage.fr

If the barrier does not open when exiting the motorway:

  1. Press the Assistance button on the toll booth
  2. Explain to the attendant that the badge is in an “orange” box
  3. If necessary, use another authorized payment method, keep the ticket and contact us free of charge at +33 800 906 123 or by email at Service-Client@EasyPeage.fr

If your rental vehicle is equipped with an Easy Péage device box, make sure it remains closed; and pay all tolls in cash, by credit card, or with your personal electronic toll badge (where permitted), which needs to be properly installed in the rental vehicle.

Some tollways without cash lanes permit payment in other ways and at other times. Toll authorities sometimes change their toll payment options. Check with the applicable toll authority to learn all payment options.

  • If you subscribe to the service at the Rent A Car counter at the start of your rental, you will be charged a € 2 service charge for each day of your rental agreement, plus the cost of each toll.
  • If you activate the service during your rental by opening the Easy Toll box, you will be charged a € 3.95 service charge per day of use, plus the cost of each toll.

If you subscribe to the service at the Rent A Car counter at the start of your rental:

  • The service charges will be included in your rental bill.
  • The cost of each toll will be invoiced to you separately within 1 to 3 weeks after the end of the contract or after 30 days for rentals over 30 days. The charges generally appear on the bank card statement as “Easy Péage by Rent A Car”.

If you activate the service during your rental by opening the Easy Péage box:

  • You will be charged a € 3.95 service charge per day of use, plus the cost of each toll within 1 to 3 weeks after the end of the contract or after 30 days for rentals over 30 days. The charges generally appear on the bank card statement as “Easy Péage by Rent A Car”.

Rent A Car has transferred the right to invoice and collect Easy Péage fees to Verra Mobility as the agent for Rent A Car. See the information brochure for more information on the fees.

You can still use Easy Péage. An invoice will be sent to you by email and by mail, if necessary, approximately 1 to 3 weeks after the end of your rental.

You can choose to pay by credit card or by bank transfer on the www.EasyPeage.fr website.

If we have your email address on file, you will automatically receive an email notification of the charges. You can get a summary of the Easy Péage fees at www.EasyPeage.fr by entering your name or company name and rental agreement number and rental date.

Easy Péage is available wherever you see these signs in France:

     

The electronic device is valid in all toll lanes as long as the box is in the open position.

The service is not available for the Fréjus and Mont-Blanc tunnels. It is also not valid at the parking terminals.
